Favorite Things & June Recap 🌾

Happy July, happiness seekers!

I hope your summer is off to a fantastic start and y’all had a safe and fun Fourth of July.

Personal Update:

June was a great month. We definitely had some June gloom here in the PNW, but we also had some unseasonably warm weather that we took advantage of! We took a day trip to Lake Alice with the nieces, started taking walks again, and got the backyard fully ready for summer. We also celebrated my Gramps’ life in an amazing ceremony at my parent’s house, attended a baseball game (which I haven’t done in years), and flew back to Wisconsin for Kyle’s family reunion.

Our trip to Wisconsin was our first time leaving Winston and Wendy for five days, let alone with our neighbors for a couple of days. I was so anxious about it, and guess what? They did great! Of course, they did.

Kyle and his brother enjoying their favorite pastime, mowing the farm and drinking beer.

Grandma Donna’s Farm.

I loved Wisconsin. Kyle’s grandma lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere in a township called Malone. The tiny towns surrounding it were what dreams were made of: vast, bright green corn fields surrounding one lone restaurant or bar, a church and maybe, just maybe, a post office or tractor repair shop. I just loved the quiet farm life. Most mornings, we spent in silence watching the gazillion birds visit the bird feeders. Bliss. Kyle’s grandma is 82, walks 5 miles a day, still mows her own lawn, has an epic asparagus garden and still has mad aim with her bb gun. Life goals, I tell ya.

While we were there we also found out that Kyle’s brother is having a baby!! We get to be auntie and uncle again, and we couldn’t be more freaking excited about it!! 🤰🏼

Lastly, we’ve been looking for a lake house!!! ⛱️ A literal dream come true ✨ We haven’t found the right one yet, but I’ve been busy manifesting the perfect house for our family. Stay tuned!! 🙌

After returning home from Wisconsin, I’ve been jonesing to get back on track with my routine and happiness habits. Plus, Wendy is a bit more reliable with the potty training so I don’t have to stand over her every second.

My happiness habits I’m focusing on for July:

  1. Continue dancing to one song a day - this has been a complete game-changer for me! 💃

  2. Read outside for 10 minutes a day. 📚

  3. Mindfulness practice or meditation - I really need to get back to this! 🧘‍♀️

  4. 8 glasses of water a day - gotta stay hydrated! 💦

Biz Update:

The Year of Awakening is officially closed for the year, and I swear to you, this community just keeps getting better and better. 🤩 This past month, I started doing Featured Members articles and creating screensavers that align with our monthly theme, and it’s been SO fun. I also created a Thrive Bucket List 🙌, Music Lovers Space 🎶, and The Soul Reset Workshop 💫.

The Soul Reset Workshop is a two-hour workshop and 30-day program that helps you reconnect with your joy, what makes you come alive, and brings to life your Soul Purpose. It walks you through an energetic reset where you assess your past, present, and what you want to create for yourself in the future. It’s a great mid-year workshop, and you can join it right here! Aside from The Soul Reset Workshop and my 1:1 clients, I don’t plan on rolling out anything new until September / October.

There are 3 discounted 1:1 spots available for my Beta program Awaken To Your Soul’s Purpose. Get in while you can and check it out right here! Think about this program as a deep-dive into reconnecting back to your purpose, your joy and living your dreamiest life.

Things I’m Loving This Month:

  1. So, I’m 40 now 😅 and decided I will probably never do Botox, so I have been doing these little Frownie facial patches and I’m loving the results so far! I’m wearing some now! 😜

  2. Our high-quality, edgy, and fun Eff Perfect merch 🖕 is going to be available long, so make sure you check out all we have to offer! From tanks to long-sleeve T’s to buttons and pins, it’s all you need to embody your fuck perfection mentality!

  3. I am SO freaking excited to be a part of the Easy Breezy Summer Bundle with 100+ free gifts just for you! ☀️ From mindfulness workbooks to decluttering guides to organizing your business and life, this bundle has a TON of resources just for you!

  4. These are still the best joggers I have ever purchased! So comfy, stretchy and breathable. Perfect for these long summer nights.

  5. I am a member of an amazing book club, and this month we are reading Overcoming Underearning by Barbara Stanny. I am absolutely loving this book so far!

  6. Being back in school is triggering my perfectionist tendencies again, and it’s reminding me how powerful this How To Be An Imperfectionist by Stephen Guise.

  7. This book, Ambition Monster, popped up on my Spotify a couple weeks ago and, I have to be honest, the title resonated a little too much with me. 😅 It’s hitting a chord with me for sure.

Answer These Journal Prompts in July:

  • How does your Soul want to be nourished this month?

  • What is your Soul calling you to focus on this month?

  • My Soul is telling me to…

  • What would it mean for me to come to life this month?

That’s it for June’s recap, peeps! I hope you’re enjoying these little recaps, and I hope you have an incredible July. Good things are coming. 🌱
