Favorite Things & May Recap 🌈
Why, hello there, June!
I’m just gonna go ahead and say it - I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S JUNE 🤯 Honestly, each year just feels like it goes by faster and faster. I never believed my elders when they would say how fast the years go by, but believe me, now I completely understand.
Personal Update:
How was your May? May, for me, felt like survival mode, but you know what? I made it, and as I write this little update for you, I’m so happy to say I’ve reconnected with my joy and inspiration, and it feels so damn good! The last month, I truly let myself grieve, mope, rest, and get a little lost. I’m so proud of what I was able to manage, but holy guacamole. It was rough. I know my willingness to feel my grief all the way through rather than numb it with alcohol, Instagram, or any other numbing agent of choice has allowed me to feel the intense joy I am currently feeling. This has been a real-life experience of “the degree to which we feel our pain is the degree to which we feel our joy.”
It often feels like we’ll never make it to the other side. Maybe we never do. But I know that joy still exists, even if it winds up looking different than it did before.
School is such a bright light in my life right now. Each day I log into my courses or open up my textbook, I am reminded that I am on the right track. I love learning about human development and psychological theories, but my husband thinks I’m taking this a little too seriously (par for the course - pun intended! 😜), but listen. When I started my certification to become a life coach, I decided right then and there that I would be a phenomenal coach, and the same goes with my master’s. I will be a fucking phenomenal therapist, so if that looks like maybe taking psychological theories a little too seriously, so be it! 😜
Wendy, our new puppy, is giving us a run for our damn money 😂 She’s improved so much with the potty training, but we’re having a couple of hiccups with sleeping through the night, which means we’ve been really tired. We took her on her first camping trip, and she did so great! She didn’t get carsick, and she just rolled with us like the little champ she is. We also took her golfing with us for the first time, and she literally slept the entire time and got hand-fed kibble. She’s such a perfect fit for our family, and we love her so damn much!
My happiness habits I’m focusing on daily this month are:
Dance every day to one song
Doing my abundance exercise or nervous system healing tool
Drinking 8 glasses of water
Journaling daily again
Biz Update:
Recently, I’ve written about claiming exactly what I want in my life and business. For years, I’ve held myself back, unsure if I could create (or have) what I really, really wanted. Seriously, FUCK. THAT. I refuse to settle and hold myself back anymore. What I really want is a business that is simple and impactful, one that helps people create more joy-filled and Soul-nourished lives and allows me the freedom and financial abundance I desire. Nobody benefits if I hold myself back. Nobody.
So I’m doubling down on what I really love in my business, and that is: The Year of Awakening (duh 🙂), a handful of 1:1 clients who get all my heart, and a Business Program/Mastermind for new business owners wanting to create a business with a joyful, sustainable foundation, and all the mental assets you’ll need to be a successful entrepreneur (shit ain’t for the faint of heart 😅). That program has been swirling around in my heart and Soul for over a year now and will be launching in fall. Keep your eyes peeled.
Things I’m Loving This Month:
Eff Perfect 🖕 merch is now available on my website at a discounted price! Get your T's, tanks, sweatshirts, and bags while they last!!
I am SO freaking excited to be a part of the Easy Breezy Summer Bundle with 100+ free gifts just for you! ☀️ From mindfulness workbooks to decluttering guides to organizing your business and life, this bundle has a TON of resources just for you!
Are you someone who plays small and feels nervous being seen? My hand is definitely raised! Playing Big by Tara Mohr was recommended to me YEARS ago and it’s inspiring me again to fully claim my power and my purpose.
Have you heard of Mark Groves, founder of Create The Love? I’m not a huge follower or anything, but his two-part series about why he is leaving Instagram is so compelling and well-spoken that I’m considering doing the same.
I go through yoga pants like underwear 😂 I literally wear them every day, either on a walk, in a yoga class, or on my Peloton. These Lululemon knock-offs by CRX Yoga are so awesome and less than half the price!
I finally gave in and bought the Moonology Oracle Deck by Yasmin Boland when I was out shopping with my mom and sister. I’m not mad about it!
